With this in mind, I aim to empower you in using herbs daily, in a way that brings pleasure and resilience to your mind, body & spirit. This increases the likelihood that you have them conveniently accessible & are building experience to amplify them into medicinal remedies when needed, for restoration, healing, and dis-ease.

Each Herb Monograph in this Guide shows a sketch of the herb, a brief intro, different methods of use, and remedy recipes. I encourage you to explore the recipes, then experiment with other herbs, and try out the listed remedies either by researching recipes or making them up as you go along!

Many herbs have a plethora of healing properties, so it’s great to dive in deeply & frequently with just a few herbs. You’ll find that the ones within our reach can meet most of our needs. Indeed, my teacher Peeka Trenkle, taught that ‘Mother Nature addresses the needs of a region with the wild & spontaneous plants (weeds) that show up.’
